Real Challenges
The Real Challenges Health and Wellness Brands Face
Before we build anything, we map what is actually limiting your store’s growth. For most eCommerce businesses, the challenges look like this:
- Strict regulatory constraints on marketing claims. Health Canada's natural health products and food regulations set clear boundaries on what claims brands can make about health benefits, disease prevention, and treatment. Marketing that oversteps those boundaries creates compliance risk and can result in enforcement action. We build campaigns that are compelling, credible, and compliant.
- Trust barriers and consumer skepticism. The wellness market has historically attracted both genuinely effective products and misleading claims. Educated consumers approach new brands with skepticism, requiring more evidence, more transparency, and more social proof before they commit to a purchase.
- Advertising platform restrictions. Meta and Google both have specific policies restricting how health products can be advertised. According to Health Canada's Natural Health Products Regulations, only licensed natural health products may make specific health claims in marketing. We build ad campaigns that work within platform policies and Health Canada guidelines without sacrificing persuasiveness.
- Low repeat purchase rates for consumable products. Supplements, protein powders, and other consumable wellness products should generate predictable replenishment revenue. Most brands do not have structured follow-up systems to capture that replenishment cycle, and customers drift to competitor products between purchases.
These are not problems better product photography alone will fix. They require a structured marketing system.
